The Tekαkαpimək Contact Station, located in the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, officially opened to the public on June 21st. The opening marks the first time the station has been accessible under the management of National Park Service rangers. The event was highlighted in the June eNewsletter of the Friends of Katahdin Woods and Waters.
